What Has Happened
In the wake of a devastating raid by Interpol, the once formidable crime families of Europe find themselves in disarray. Leaders have been arrested, many others lost, and the balance of power that once held sway is now a fractured memory. The remaining figures, scattered and uncertain, are left to pick up the pieces.
Amidst the chaos, came a call for unity. The surviving kingpins, each with their own interests, have agreed to meet in secret at a villa in the south of the Netherlands, far from the reach of the law and rival eyes. It is here they hope to establish a new order, one that will restore stability to their fractured world. The elders, steeped in tradition, have proposed a marriage to solidify their alliances; an offer that the younger generation finds difficult to refuse, despite their own ambitions and doubts.
What Will Happen Next
A tense journey from a history of mortal enmity through an uneasy present,
as old rivals struggle to build a fragile union that will define their shared future.
The things that have been agreed upon:
The traditional family will provide a new Don, as they are the largest and most influential family.
The ambitious and the ragtag families will unite through marriage, to match the traditionalists in size.
Each family will stay in control of their businesses and territories.
After the marriage, everyone will pledge their loyalty to the Don.
“The strength of a family, like the strength of an army, lies in its loyalty to each other.” -Don Vito Corleone
Historically, the traditionalists are the oldest, largest, and most prestigious family within the crime collective. Going back hundreds of years, they have had the opportunity to invest, reinvest, and grow their businesses and network for a very long time. By now they are old money, old power, and have remained that way through a strict structure of tradition, loyalty, and way of working that no one is allowed to deviate from. While they have been hit hard by the recent developments; their policy of strict loyalty has shielded them from the worst of it. Even if they lost a lot of profitable initiatives and associates, their core businesses are still intact. This means that, among the surviving families, they are still the largest and most influential. However, they are struggling with adapting to the changing times.
View of the Other Families
The Ambitious Family: They are creative and well organized. Combine that with their affinity for the more modern crimes in and they would have been the perfect allies had they understood their place. Unfortunately, they aim far higher than what their station allows for, and they seem to have set their sights on some areas that traditionally belong to us, which makes them a threat.
The Ragtag Family: They should have been crushed years ago, but in the past they never seemed like a threat. A small, upstart family that crawled through the mud and gutters; never worth paying any attention to. Unfortunately, after all other families were decimated, they are suddenly a real player. They are reckless, dealing in crime that draws way too much attention, but it is too late to crush them now; a family war would endanger everyone. They must be dealt with in a less violent way.
"Fortune favors the bold" -Virgil
The ambitious family stands as a formidable, if fractured, remnant of its once-vast criminal empire. Scarred by relentless law enforcement, particularly Interpol, the family has seen better days. The ambitious family remains dangerous, with aspirations that reach far beyond their dilapidated surroundings. The fire of ambition still burns fiercely within them. This intricate web of ambition, rivalry, and betrayal sets the stage for their renewed rise and to claim their place at the top, while navigating the treacherous waters of the criminal underworld. Their overarching philosophy: calculated risk for maximum reward. They see crime as an art form—less about brute force and more about strategy, manipulation, and ensuring their name remains synonymous with power and prestige. They tread the fine line between ruthless efficiency and respectable appearances, ensuring their rise does not crumble under its own ambition.

The Traditional Family: The traditional family is a dangerous but stagnant force. We respect their power, but we believe their rigid adherence to tradition makes them vulnerable to our more adaptive strategies. However, maybe we can learn something from their discipline and structure to strengthen our own position.
The Ragtag Family: The ragtag family is viewed with a mixture of amusement and disdain. They are a pawn to be manipulated, useful for creating distractions or undermining the traditional family. However, there is also a feel of an unexpected kinship with the Ragtag family’s underdog status, as their struggle for identity mirrors some of our past.
"They are big and I is small and that is not fair, oh no!" -Calimero
The ragtag family has a history of being the biggest of the smaller families. As such, they made sure to gather the other smaller families around them so that they had a voice, a vote when it mattered. Unfortunately, they have been hit hard by the recent developments and had to change. They made the remnants of the other families part of theirs, either by marriage or by officially adopting the strays into their family. They just try to keep their head above water and try to find out how they can get back the influence they had before. The family is a loose, chaotic group of criminals, thriving on opportunism and short-term gains. They lack the resources and structure of larger crime families, but their unpredictability makes them hard to control.
View of the Other Families
The Traditional Family: They have always had the power and probably always will. They are respected and well known, and never had any need to adapt to new strategies. It is an example of what the ragtag wants to achieve, a strong family structure which makes sure that they stay in control.
The Ambitious Family: They are too ambitious for their own good. They want more than their fair share and will do anything to achieve this. Although we can respect their ambition and understand what they want to do, this also means that they target our assets.
