The Crew of Forever Hold Your Peace
Do you know how, after emotional larps, you are advised not to make any lifechanging decisions in the nex few weeks?
The base of this crew and this larp were assembled within days after such a larp. Granted, after that we waited a month to reassemble to see if it was still a good idea.
After 8 of those meetings and an interest survey, it still seemed like a good idea. And well, here we are...
Aside from the runtime tasks mentioned in their introduction, all team members have been writing and/or editing plot
and characters and all of us have been involved in decisions we made along the way during the preperation.
Cleo has been larping since 2015 and fell in love with interpersonal drama and story based larp from the very first time she played. This love is so great that, even though she self-identifies as a player, she’s dipped her toes in organising as well. With her background in psychology, her main focus is bringing depth to characters and how they connect with each other in both healthy and unhealthy ways. Her special interest is safety and she has been safety consultant and/or safety person in larps both national and international. She will also be a safety and support person at Forever Hold Your Peace.
Eva is a seasoned (inter)national larper, making her an invaluable team member. With extensive organizing experience, she excels at playing characters that blend feigned naivety with charm, often stirring up drama. Behind the scenes, Eva keeps the team grounded, transforming chaotic brainstorming into actionable plans. During event preparations, she ensures everything runs smoothly. At the event, she will step into an NPC role to assist with logistics, adding her unique touch of unpredictability and fun.
Ylva is a long time larper, which some might infer from the fact that she recently wrote a very nostalgic 90's larp. She started organising/designing larps in 2015. Her passion for larp means that she is not held back by pesky little things such as a pandemic so she has organised both physical and online larps inspired by the Nordic tradition. Her designs often contain personal drama and some aspect of the slightly absurd variety.
Bee has been an active and dedicated member of the larp community since the last millennium, bringing a vast experience in crewing and (co)organizing events, often centered around unique venues or themes. She enjoys crafting intimate, personal and dramatic gameplay experiences, with a particular interest in exploring the intricate political dynamics within a setting. Her expertise in creating immersive experiences should ensure that every participant feels connected to the world she helped to build. During the event, Bee is a part of both the PR and logistics teams.
Maarten is an incredibly experienced player and organizer, so much so that he’s managed to pull in his wife and children into the world of larping! His experience shows in everything he does, from writing and editing to brainstorming ideas during preparations. He’s fully invested in making sure everything runs smoothly. During the event, Maarten is our ultimate backup — ready to step in and support nearly every discipline when needed. Whether it’s helping out with logistics or NPC-ing Maarten’s versatility and commitment make him an indispensable part of the team.
Renout has been a dedicated player and organizer for well over 10 years, and in recent times, the international larping bug has truly taken hold of him. In our meetings, Renout plays the crucial role of our chair, keeping the reins tight on the inevitable creative chaos that bubbles up (of which he contributes plenty himself). He knows how to channel the flood of ideas into something manageable, ensuring we stay on track without stifling the creative spirit. When he’s not overseeing everything, you might spot Renout stepping into an NPC role to add his unique flair to the event.
